Integration Training for Adult Migrants includes Finnish language and communication skills, working life skills, work placement and civic skills.

The target group of Integration Training is adult migrants who have recently migrated in Finland. The objective of the training is to achieve functional basic proficiency in the Finnish language. Integration Training also promotes the migrants’ access to employment and further education. In order to take part in Integration Training one must be a registered job seeker in the TE office (työ- ja elinkeinotoimisto).

Integration Training is a full time course. The working hours are usually between 9 am and 2 pm plus homework.

  • Working life skills and work placement
  • Civic skills
  • Guidance and counselling
  • ICT skills
  • Study skills.

The curriculum of Integration Training in TAKK is based on The National Core Curriculum for Integration Training for Adult Migrants.

The TE office chooses the students to Integration Training based on the initial assessment carried out by the TE office and TAKK.

Integration Training takes place in Tampereen Aikuiskoulutuskeskus (TAKK) at Kurssikeskuksenkatu 11, Tampere. New groups start every third month.

Integration Training is free of charge for the students.
