Employees from abroad

In tailored on-demand trainings, the entity ordering a group is responsible for the costs of the training. Trainings are carried out in different fields. All trainings include hands on learning at a real work-life environment. The goal is for some students to stay and work in Finland. According to the clients wishes, the training can be tailored to include areas related to integration into Finland, such as culture and language teaching.

The target countries are chosen so that studies can be started in the English language. The language of the studies changes to Finnish along the way if the working language of the specific field is Finnish. The trainings can be degree-oriented or shorter specific trainings, depending on the field and the customer's wishes.

The first on-demand training started in November 2021, when 25 Kenyan students started their practical nursing studies. In addition to the social and health fields, on demand students have come to study for example welding, construction, tourism & catering, and the foundry industry. Target countries are expanded according to demand.
